Hormone Metab Res

As one of the most studied copper peptides in the scientific literature, GHK-Cu skin research has been particularly prolific, with numerous published studies exploring its role in extracellular matrix biology, collagen synthesis, and tissue remodeling processes

The direction of modulation is notable: many genes associated with DNA repair, antioxidant response, and tissue remodeling are upregulated, while genes linked to inflammation and tumor progression are downregulated

A small batch study involving 25 participants, examined the results of a focus group using GHK-Cu 0.5% (Maneup) versus a control group using Minoxidil 5% over a five month period

231 Given that altered regulation of Cu, homeostasis has been associated with a variety of disease conditions, future studies are warranted in order to determine the precise mechanism by which Cu imbalance causes cellular damage, thus providing important new information that can be used to design treatments for preventing disease and/or slowing disease progression
